About Us

We are a small family business enjoying life in the Pacific Northwest.

Pizzo Computer Consulting is a husband & wife team. We also have a network of other talented support professionals who can assist with emergencies and special projects.

While I do the technical work, my wife, Susan (pictured below) handles marketing and creative services. She is a professional artist, author, photographer, and marketing professional. And, she helps me reframe the language of pure techie into plain, conversational English.

I love working with people to help them solve their computer problems. While I enjoy the technical side of the computer biz, I am also a teacher at heart. And, as it turns out, my calm demeanor and patient attitude are a welcome relief to those suffering from “computer stress”. One of my special skills is that I’m “tri-lingual”; I speak Mac, PC, and English. I’m more of a teacher, technician, and computer therapist than a geek.

I started out as a High School science teacher and a scientist. In 1984, I began using computers after seeing a six year old kid sitting at a Macintosh and working with Mac Paint. I thought, “that’s the level of complexity I want in a computer.” Having started in computers very early on, I found myself having to solve my own computer problems and I realized that I’m not only good at it - but I enjoy it, too.

In the world of computers, I worked at Microsoft for 6 1/2 years. I worked on Mac Office ’98, Publisher 2000 & 2002, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. I created training materials and taught the Product Service & Support Professionals who answer your calls when you call Microsoft (back when Microsoft had people in the United States to answer your questions).

My wife and I started Pizzo Consulting in 2002 to address the needs of small businesses and individuals that were not being met by the “big guys”.  Like you, we were frustrated and disappointed at not being able to get the customer services and support we all deserve when purchasing computer products. In creating Pizzo Consulting, we’re glad we can help make a difference.

I have actively used my computer services to support many non-profit and/or charitable organizations, including: Bainbridge Island Senior Center, Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center, North Kitsap Fishline, North Kitsap Baptist Church, Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities, Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce, The Island School, Hyla Middle School, Wilkes Elementary School, Puget Sound Restoration Fund, Port Townsend Main Street Program, Port Townsend Film Festival, Auction for the Arts, Marine Science Center, Kitsap Humane Society, Bainbridge Island Land Trust, St. Cecilia’s Auction, the Port Townsend Wedding Show and its fundraiser for the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, and much more. If your nonprofit organization or fundraiser needs my help, please feel free to call me anytime. We regularly donate gift certificates for our computer services to a variety of charitable fundraisers as well as donating refurbished equipment to nonprofit organizations who need them. We also help set up all the computer equipment for auctions and fundraisers.

I am actively involved in the local business communities of Kitsap, Jefferson, and Clallam Counties, including local chambers of commerce.
